NEW TO R/C:

Flying Radio Controlled Models is a fun and exciting hobby. All too often, however, the beginning pilot’s dream ends too quickly when they try to learn to fly on their own. Flying R/C models takes practice and requires skills that are learned. A flight instructor can assist you in setup, trimming and flying your first model safely and successfully.

The R/C Gulls Model Airplane Club has been training beginning pilots in Eastern Maine for over 20 years and is sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (
AMA), the worlds largest organization promoting the fun and safety of the hobby. We are always looking forward to meeting new members.

If you are interested in getting started in R/C airplanes or helicopters, please don't hesitate to contact one of the "Gullies."

If you really want to
fly, seek an instructor! You’ll be glad you did.
